Château-Grillet
From granite to light:
a great wine reveals itself
Château-Grillet is a rare wine. It reveals itself slowly, with restraint, like a work of art that demands time and attention. Its chiselled minerality, tension and balance between smoothness, delicate bitterness and salinity are the hallmarks of a truly great wine for connoisseurs.
Here, the terroir speaks for itself. Its granitic language translates into a mineral expression often accompanied by a marine, iodine-like, even mentholated freshness. The complex and evolving nose also reveals subtle floral notes (rose, violet, lime blossom), white and exotic fruits (pear, pineapple, apricot), and sometimes hints of honey, hazelnut, saffron or white truffle. However, Château-Grillet does not seek the exuberance of Viognier and naturally stands out for its delicacy. The palate, full-bodied and energetic, unfolds with precision and depth.
A great wine for ageing, it reaches its full potential after about ten years. It then pairs well with the most refined dishes: asparagus, truffled foie gras, turbot, braised lobster, Bresse poultry or subtly spiced Asian cuisine. It also goes well with Rigotte de Condrieu, an excellent local goat’s cheese.

Côtes-du-Rhône
The immediate expression of Château-Grillet
Produced from young vines and a selection of the estate’s plots, this Côtes-du-Rhône, created in 2011, embodies the freshness and pleasure of Château-Grillet. It offers an accessible and delicious expression of its terroir and grape variety, marked by vibrant fruit and a beautiful, refreshing tension, while retaining great complexity and significant ageing potential.
It can be enjoyed young, accompanied by sea bass fillet, a Mediterranean salad, goat’s cheese or sushi.
A wine that bears the imprint of its terroir, with its mineral power and aromatic persistence, while inviting conviviality.
Condrieu La Carthery
The elegance of a well-bred neighbour
Since 2017, a new cuvée has been added to the estate’s range: Condrieu ‘La Carthery’. Produced from 12 terraces adjoining those of the Château, this cuvée reveals another facet of Viognier, charming and full-bodied, without losing any of its integrity, elegance or balance.
Planted on 0.25 hectares of granite soil similar to that of Château-Grillet, at the top of the hillside, the vineyard produces a racy, expressive wine that is suitable for ageing or can be enjoyed in its youth. Vinified with the same precision as Château-Grillet, delicately and patiently aged on fine lees, it naturally completes the estate’s triptych.
A rare and exclusive cuvée, both sapid and distinguished, like Château Grillet.
